ANGELA GLAISTER General Manger SOUNDSAUCE

Angela Glaister got heavily into music while still at University in Queensland seeing lots of bands, live, writing reviews of shows and records for local magazines – a real music enthusiast.

Angela got her first professional gig in the music business after graduating (with a Bachelor of International Business Relations degree) and moving to Sydney to work at Festival Records.

A couple of years later she moved to Albert’s, the most established and internationally successful independent music company in Australia - known as the home of Aussie Rock.

After an initial stint in the copyright and royalties area Angela moved into the specialist area of licensing for Film, TV and Advertising. Successful campaigns that Angela has been involved in include the use of AC DC’s “Thunderstruck” for Holden Utes, The Beach Boys “Wouldn’t it Be Nice” for Cadbury Chocolates and “Good Vibrations” for the Good Guys.



Angela later moved further into the broader area of licensing when she became the music licensing Manager for Mana Music specializing in Advertising. Campaigns included “Run Rabbit Run” For Yarra Valley, “Blister in the Sun” for Mitsubishi, “Corner of the Earth” for Honda and “Talkin all that Jazz” again for Honda.

In 2004 Angela established a new stand alone music licensing company SoundSauce - a business set to provide a source for all music needs.

SoundSauce has facilitated licensing for a number of major ad campaigns’s including Vodafone (“My Way”), Toyota (“You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet” and “One Perfect Day”), BONDS (“Little Red Riding Hood”, “ Perhaps Perhaps Perhaps”), Australian Meat and Livestock (“I Love To Boogie”), Heineken (“Sing it Back”), Foxtel A League (“Not Many”), Foxtel Subscriptions (New Order, Evermore, The Lovetones) and Australian Apples (“I’ve Got You Under My Skin”)

Angela sourced and provided the selection of music required for the forthcoming ABC TV SERIES “How The Hell Did We Get Here?”

SoundSauce has also established the ongoing music programming of the QANTAS all Australian ‘boarding channel’ in conjunction with Les Gock’s Sound Thinking. Angela’s broad music industry knowledge and experience in both the publishing and record side of the music business allows her to give the right advice when it comes to crucial copyright issues. With over ten years of hands on experience Angela can provide simple solutions for all music needs utilizing her network of contacts and knowledge.
